Chalet le Pré d'Enhaut, Rougemont

If you are looking for a relaxed, enjoyable Alpine holiday – whether skiing; hiking in the Summer; or half-term breaks – then this charming family chalet some 5 miles from Gstaad is ideal, comprising 3 flats with large communal areas in the lower ground floor. You can rent it all; or just a single flat.

  • Ground floor flat: 6 guests (3 double rooms; bathroom and separate WC; sitting room; kitchen; large patio and garden.
  • First floor flat: 6 guests (3 double rooms; bathroom and separate WC; sitting room; kitchen; balcony around 3 sides.
  • Second floor flat: 5 guests (2 double rooms; 1 single; bathroom; sitting room; kitchen; south-facing balcony.
  • Lower ground floor: large sitting room / dining room, cooking facilities and WC; laundry and boiler rooms.

The chalet is in the village of Rougemont, a 2 hour drive from Geneva airport, or 3 hours by train (the chalet is a 5 minute walk from the station).

  • Wheelchair access to ground floor flat, patio and garden, parking and drive.
  • Well-behaved pets are welcome.

Our chalet is South facing with its own garden and field overlooking the village (Rougemont) and the mountain opposite, with views across the valley. To the rear is parking and a dedicated ski room.

It's a 5 minute walk from the centre of the village with shops, restaurants, playground and the train station; and easy access to the local lifts for winter/spring skiing and summer hiking / swimming / relaxing.

All 4 seasons are beautiful: come in spring, post skiing, to see the wildflowers, the summer for hot days by rivers, lakes and swimming pools and/or exploring the mountains; autumn for the colours of the trees and walking; and winter for skiing, touring, cross country skiing, sledging, walking, and, of course tea, in Gstaad.

The chalet is ideal for large family gatherings – or multiple friends/families holidaying together. (Top tip: avoid the madness of the French Alps at half-term by renting the chalet between 3 families; great skiing without the madding crowds.) You can hide away in a flat; or lead the partying in the large rooms in the lower ground.

10% discount for Farleigh Alumni.
